This annual student event was celebrated with great  fervour this year as always, on the 23rd January 2007.   A big pandal was erected and  the statue of Maa Saraswati was  beautifully adorned.  Faculty, students and  workers of the university turned up in great numbers to pay homage to the Goddess of Learning.  To coincide with this, the Department of Physiology  oganised the Vasantotsav for the students. Competitions were held in teashirt painting, rangoli and  painting and decoration of earthen ware pots.   The Vice Chancellor, Prof Hari Gautam inaugurated the festival.

This event was organized on 26th – 28th September 2006 in the Faculty Dining Hall. It was organized by Prof NS Verma and inaugurated by Prof CP Govila, Vice Chancellor UPKGUDS. Participants competed in 3 rouns. Winners were Parmarth Devang (BDS student), Dr Ashish and Ashish Kumar for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

This annual event was organized by the Physiology Society for MBBS 2006 and BDS 2006 batches on 24th November 2006 in the Kukrail Park. Event in charge was Dr Manish Bajpai.

To welcome the arrival of spring, the Physiology Society KGMU under Dr Archana  Ghildayal organized Basant Utsav 2007 on 23rd January 2007. Students exhibited their skills and creativity in Rangoli, creative poetry, T shirt painting, poster making, mehndi, pottery decoration and card making competitions.   Prof Hari Gautam, Vice Chancellor, CSMU and Prof AM Kar graciously consented to announce the results and give away the prizes

On 1st February 2007, the Physiology Society organized the annual debate. The topic was “Marriage is a lottery where a man stakes his freedom and woman her happiness”. Judges were Dr Navneet Chauhan, Dr SS Siddiqui, Dr RK Singh, Dr Manju Shukla and Dr Tulika Chandra. The spirited participation by the students left the audience and judges highly impressed. Ankita Ghosh, Yogendra Singh and Ankita Singh were declared the winners at 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

Taking advantage of the pleasant weather, the Physiology Society held a Sports Meet on 24th & 25th February 2007. Events held were Cricket, badminton, races, tug of war but the highlight was the 5 km marathon run from the Administrative Block of the university to Shaheed Smarak on 25th February called  “Run for Health”.
