The Hospital
Board frames the rules and regulations regarding
allocation of beds, appointments of staff, hours
of working, charges in the hospital and approves
annual tenders for purchases of medicines,
surgical dressing material, linen, Xray films,
gases, hospital furniture, stationery, printing
material, dry rations, cleaning materials and
other miscellaneous items. |
The Chief Medical Superintendent is over all in charge of the hospital
and subject to control of the Vice
Chancellor, CSM Medical University,
the Hospital Board of Management and
the Executive Council of the University.
He exercises his powers and performs
the duties assigned to him as per
the statutes of the University.
Dr SN Sankhwar, Head, Department of
Urology has been appointed Chief Medical
Superintendent of the hospital. Dr
Nar Singh Verma of the Department
of Physiology is Medical Superintendent
for GM & AH. Dr Ajay Singh of
Department of Orthopedic Surgery is
Superintendent cum Medical Officer
in Charge (Stores). Dr RK Singh is
Superintendent Dental Hospital. |

Public Relations Office
(PRO): The hospital has a Public
Relations Office situated in the main building.
It functions round the clock throughout the year
to provide information and assistance to
patients and their attendants. This was started
in 1964. At present it is manned by 3 Public
Relations Officers, 1 Enquiry Assistant and 2
other staff members of the hospital. The PRO has
a unique functioning and is an important link
between the hospital administration and the
patient. Besides helping the patients, the
office manages all the administrative matters of
the hospital after working hours and on
holidays. It has a close link with the police
and press. A good number of security and other
staff are attached to this office to maintain
law and order and help in keeping the campus
clean with regular supply of water and
electricity. The ambulances are also under the
control of this office. The present PRO's are:
Smt.Huma Jafar, Mr Rahul Singh and Mr. Manoj
Srivastava
The
medicines, drugs and gases etc. are supplied in
the hospital from the Central Medical
Store, and surgical dressing material,
spirit, tincture, stationery, case sheets,
printed forms, cleansing material etc. from the
General Store. The stores are under supervision
of Medical Officer in Charge (Stores).

The hospital has its own Dispensary also where mixtures,
ointments etc. are prepared and distributed to
OPD and indoor patients. This is under the
supervision of Prabhari Adhikari Pharmacy - Sri
Mumtaz Ahmed.. He also monitors the supply of
drugs etc. to the wards. To assist him there are
3 Chief Pharmacists m- Mr JK Paliwal, Mr RC
Sinha and Mr Ram Bharosey.
The Xray Department of the hospital
functions round the clock and is under the Head,
Department of Radiodiagnosis, Prof Ragini Singh.

The Cobalt Therapy Unit is under the Head, Department of
Radiotherapy -

There are 2 whole body CT scan
units obtained through wet lease-one for the
Department of Radiotherapy and the other for the
Department of Radiodiagnosis.
The
hospital has a modern Mortuary where post mortem examinations of all
medicolegal cases of Lucknow District are
performed. This is under the control of the
Superintendent of the hospital and Chief Medical
Officer, Lucknow.
Lastly, the finances
and accounts of the hospital and university are
looked after by a Finance, Accounts
& Audit Office (Phone : 2257545)
which has a staff of 50 officials under the
administrative control of the Finance Officer,
deputed by the State Government.
