There are 5 seats annually for the MD
course and 2 for the DTCD course.
Activities :
1. This department has a functioning
Allergy Clinic and Bronchoscopy Laboratory.
It is a renowned centre for the management
of tuberculosis, asthma, lung cancer,
and other allied chest diseases.
2. The teachers in the department have
been actively participating in national
and international conferences. The department
has over 309 publications including 5
chapters in textbooks.
3. The department recently organised the
IX National Conference of Bronchology
on February 28th & 29th 2004. More
than 175 delegates from all over the country
and abroad participated. Dr H Yoshimura,
President World Association of Bronchology
and Dr UBS Prakash, Past President American
Association of Chest Physicians also graced
the occasion.
4. Department to host 60th National Conference
on Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases under
auspices of Tuberculosis Association of
India and UP Tuberculosis Association.
