Prof. Abhijit Chandra Ms, MCh
Prof. Abhijit Chandra is the Professor & Head of Department of Surgical Gastroenterology C.S.M. Medical University, Lucknow. He passed his MBBS and MS from KGMC, Lucknow and MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology form GB Pant Hospital New Delhi in 1999. He was the visiting fellow for Hepatobiliary surgery in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, USA and Research fellow in University of Texas Medical Branch, USA for one year and a half. He has received specialized training in Pancreticobiliary and therapeutic endoscopy; Scientific writing and clinical tools in clinical research, Univ. Of Texas, USA and advanced Laparoscopic training GEM Hospital, Coimbatore.
Dr. Chandra has been a meritorious student and has been awarded with many honors including Distinction in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at intermediate level, Short term Fellowship of ICMR, Vivian Jacob Memorial Medal and honors in Social and preventive medicine, Forensic Medicine and Pharmacology.
Dr. Chandra has many publication in international and national journals which include reviews, studies and variety of case reports and has presented papers at various congresses. He is currently involved in many clinical trails and is guiding many research projects.
He has also been involved in the department of Surgical Gastroenterology since its inception in 2006 has interest in Hepato Biliary/surgery, cancer Biology and surgical immune response and multi organ failure.
 
Dr. Anshuman Pandey

Dr. Anshuman Pandey is the Assistant professor in the department of Surgical Gastroenterology. He has passed his MBBS and MS from M L N Medical College, Allahabad and was a Senior Resident (Reg.) in Surgical Gastroenterology at SGPGI, Lucknow. He has trained in Liver transplant from Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Pandey has presented papers in international and national conferences including IHPBA (Feb.,2008)Mumbai on “Focal Liver tuberculosis:A rare mass lesion” and also has publications in indexed journals.He has attended various international and national congress, seminars and symposia related to gastrointerstinal, hepatobiliary, pancreas , coloproctology and minimal access surgery.

Dr. Pandey has joined the Department in Feb., 2009 and has keen interest in Hepatobiliary surgery and Minimal access surgery.
Dr Vishal Gupta, MS, MCh.
Dr. Vishal Gupta is the Assistant Professor of Surgical Gastroenterology. He has done MBBs from NSCB medical college, Jabalpur, in 2000, MS in general surgery from LNJP hospital and Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, Delhi University in 2003 and super speciality training, MCh in surgicalgastroenterology from Gobind Ballabh Pant Hospital, New Delhi, in 2007. Further he underwent training in advanced laparoscopy and laparoscopic hepatobiliary surgery at Institute Mutualite Montsouris, University of Paris, France in 2009.
 
Pankaj Kumar Dr. Pankaj Kumar- MS
Dr. Pankaj Kumar is the Assistant Professor in the department of Surgical Gastroenterology and joined this Department in Oct.2010.
He has passed his MBBS and MS from L.L.R.M. Medical College Meerut. He was Senior Resident (Registrar) in department of Surgical Gastroenterology (G.I. Surgery)at G.B.Pant Hospital, New Delhi. He has worked as Junior consultant (Surgical Gastroenterology) at Pushpawati Singhania Hospital, Saket (New Delhi); before joining this department. Dr. Pankaj has papers publication in international indexed journals.
He has attended various seminars and symposia related to gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreas, and minimal access surgery.
Dr. Pankaj has interest in Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery, and Minimal access Surgery.
