 Research Activities of Department of Geriatric Mental Health:
The department is presently engaged in carrying out research on the following projects :
1
“Urban Mental Health problems and Service Needs”- a multi-centric task force project sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi.
2
“An epidemiological study of prevalence of Neuropsychiatric disorders with special reference to cognitive disorders amongst rural elderly”- an ad-hoc project sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi.
3
“A comparative study of usefulness of typical and atypical antipsychotic drugs in primary psychotic disorders in elderly”- an ad-hoc  project sponsored by ICMR, New Delhi.
Timely completed and submitted research projects from the Department of Geriatric Mental Health:

“An epidemiological study of prevalence of Neuropsychiatric disorders with special reference to cognitive disorders amongst elderly (urban)”- an ad-hoc project sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, submitted in 2009.

“ Development of strategies and models for Reduction of treatment Gap in Epilepsy an ad-hoc research project sponsored by WHO-SEARO, New Delhi, submitted in 2009.
