| Facilities: There are separate laboratories for Undergraduates- Experimental Pharmacology & Pharmacy Laboratory. For Post Graduates & research- PG & Research Laboratory, Molecular Biology & Clinical Pharmacology Laboratories.
Activities: 1. Teaching and training of MBBS, BDS and MD (Pharmacology) students.
2. The research interests of the department have been towards the discovery of new drugs, development of new techniques for studying various actions of drugs and elucidation of their mechanism of action.
3. An outstanding contribution from the department has been the discovery of the hypnotic activity of a new class of compounds- Quinazolones.
4. The department organizes Gujral-Bhargava Memorial Oration annually. This year this event was held on 6th December 2006 and the oration was delivered by Prof. Nilima A. Khirsagar, Head of the department of Pharmacology; Dean, Seth G.S. Medical College & Director, K.E.M. Hospital Mumbai.
